Host your own Food Drive
Want to help Camella's Cupboard by donating food? Want to make a larger impact than just a single donation? Host a Food Drive! Your donation will feed New Milford children in need throughout the Holiday Season and winter months.
To Get Started:
Choose a Date/Time: Are you just holding a food drive or adding it as part of another event? Choose your date and time and let you guests know you'll be collecting food for Camella's Cupboard Food Pantry for Children with a simple line on an invitation informing "Donations of food for Camella's Cupboard will be gratefully accepted."
Choose a Theme or Create your own: Below are several food drive theme options, or create your own!
Make it Fun – Decorate boxes and bags to collect food donations. Create signs pointing to a table at the event or download materials from Camella's Cupboard resource page to share about hunger during the holidays.
Enjoy Your Event! – Take photos to share with your family and friends on social media. Don’t forget to tag @camellascupboard on Facebook and TikTok and @camellas.cupboard on Instagram!
Bring it All Together – Gather all the food collected at your event and bring it to Camella's Cupboard, 50 East Street, New Milford. We accept donations Tuesday and Thursday from 9 am to 1 pm, Friday from 2-4 pm, or by appointment.
Thank you for including Camella's Cupboard in your holiday celebrations. Together we can make the holidays more hopeful for our New Milford neighbors in need.
Host a Specialized Food Drive:
Spice Drive - cinnamon, salt, pepper, Italian spices, chili powder, red pepper, cayenne pepper, nutmeg, allspice, oregano, basil, garlic, onion powder
Condiments Drive - ketchup, mustard, mayo, salad dressing, seasoning packets (chili, taco, etc.), gravy or powdered gravy mix, BBQ Sauce
Toiletries Drive (can't be purchased w/SNAP) - shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, razors, shaving cream, toothpaste, toothbrush, feminine hygiene products
Paper Goods (can't be purchased w/SNAP) - toilet paper, paper towels, facial tissue, wet wipes, small packages of tissues
"Special Food Items" Drive - Box of crackers, coffee, coffee filters, tea, bottled juice, dried fruit, beef jerky, chocolate, candy, package cookies
Baking Drive - Oil, sugar, flour, powdered sugar, brown sugar, powdered eggs, evaporated milk, sweetened/condensed milk, baked goods mixes (muffins, cookies, etc.), cake mix, frosting, brownie mix, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, cornmeal, yeast, oats, vanilla extract, lemon extract, almond extract, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, pie crust mix
Cleaning Supplies (can’t be purchased w/SNAP) - laundry detergent, fabric softener/dryer sheets, bleach, toilet cleaner, dish soap, dishwasher detergent
